The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding, admittedly, has been tougher with baby Alexander (compared with Aidan). Alexander, just like Aidan, had no problem latching on since his birth at Mount Alvernia hospital. I recalled he was all so tiny, wrapped/swaddled up like a cocoon when he was in the hospital. The nurses were helpful in bringing him for breast milk every 3 hours or so. Invested in the Korean Spectra S1 pump (kind advice given by colleague Karen). The first 3 nights post discharge from hospital was tough as I was co-sleeping with Alexander & was breastfeeding him almost constantly! The tough part was him not sleeping whenever I tried putting him down onto the Lucky Baby's Dreemee co-sleeping cot. Hubby ordered The First Few Years' travel co-sleeper & some nights became much better! I started pumping out on 4 April 2019 (8th day from Alexander's birth) & yielded 80ml (had to pump because we had to attend Aidan's FIRST prize-giving ceremony at St Stephen's for him...
